F. D. Reese Christian Academy
In the fall of 2006, Pastor Lonnie Anderson, Jr. of Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, had a vision for our community: a Christian academy. Members began praying until a year later when a passionate group met to help incorporate the school. Named after civil rights activist and educator Reverend Fredrick Douglass Reece, the F. D. Reese Christian Academy (FDRCA) was birthed October 12, 2008. Since then, FDRCA has been serving Howard County students as an elementary school, serving youth in kindergarten through 5th grade youth. Housed at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, FDRCA is led by Principal Athena Beaty.

Guided by the needs of community members and community, our youth volunteer and present throughout the community. They have opportunities to meet people of different backgrounds and ages through service learning.
Christian valuesGuided by our faith, our school is led by the prayers of the leaders of the school, congregation, and community. We learn about the word of God and the core values that guide our lives. The foundation of our faith helps us persevere and become better citizens of the world.
